The Challenge
The AI Complexity
AI is a variable in the larger equation of solving your business problem.
Inserting specific AI capabilities as part of the larger equation will determine the output, trajectory, and overall impact your solution will have on the business.
The goals of the project, available project resources, data sources, and expected milestones and outcomes must be clearly defined up front. This alone, however, is not enough when integrating AI into your business process.
AI can do amazing things, that is clear, but it can also be a large distraction filled with many pitfalls. Unless you are replacing an entire process, the AI you insert, must complement your existing process, fit within the process, and not most importantly must not add a new "step" in the process while not reducing any time for users.
Often AI is implemented because of a nice feature that works but is not well thought out on how that ingrates into an existing process which causes inefficiencies and additional costs.
Just because it says "AI" does not mean it is AI
The second problem, AI is often not AI. We see many out of the box software, SAAS providers, and platforms wrap an "AI" term around a basic search or query function and call this "AI".
This is not AI and can lead to missed opportunities by not finding a true AI solution that does what you want and one that adds value.
